Adam from Iconic Auctions + Benelli Leoncino
Wednesday Sep 22, 2021
Wednesday Sep 22, 2021
In the first segment this week I get to chat with one of the most energetic guys I’ve met in a long time. Adam Tromp is the Founding Partner at Iconic Motorbikes Auctions. Starting out as a reseller of collectible machines, Adam’s vision quickly turned Iconic into an online auction site ...plus a whole lot more. I don’t want to spoil the story, so I’ll let him tell it in his own words, but suffice it to say that in a very short period of time, he and his partners have managed to turn Iconic Motorbike Auctions into a collector motorcycle sales powerhouse. Where’s it all going…and what’s next, I wonder…
In the second segment Editor Don Williams talks to me about the Benelli Leoncino. I’m not Italian and neither is he, so we’re not sure how it's pronounced, but suffice it to say that this Italian designed, Chinese built 500cc parallel-twin engined motorcycle actually holds several surprises—perhaps not what you’d think.
I really enjoyed both of these topics, and I hope you do too!

Editor Don Williams chats to Editor-at-large Freeman Wood about his ride on the new BMW R 18 Transcontinental and the bagger version, the R 18 B. Freeman is a BMW GS owner himselfyy and has ridden many of the big boxer twins in the past, so his opinions compare directly back to his other experiences aboard BMWs.

In the second segment, Associate Editor Teejay talks to custom builder and filmmaker, John Tagley about his custom build style, and a new venture he’s taking on next week. We’ll bring him back in a few weeks to see how he got on!

Triumph Speed Twin + Racer and Model Patricia Fernandez
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
This week’s Podcast features speed in a couple of different forms. The first is where Nic de Sena gives us a quick look at Triumph’s new for 2022 Speed Twin. This retro styled machine falls neatly between the standard Bonnevilles, and the high performance Thruxton, so it’s a great performing urban rider as well as an excellent canyon carver too.
Speed in the second segment is covered by professional road racer Patricia Fernandez; yes, she’s a very fast lady.
This isn’t the typical road racer interview; Teejay chats with Patricia about the challenges facing a woman entering any male-dominated sport, and what it takes both physically and mentally to compete at the professional level. Patricia is a real road racer—that is, she competes not just on closed circuits, but also on the streets and country lanes of tracks in Ulster, Ireland and other European venues. It takes copious amounts of courage to race at 200 miles per hour on public roads, yet Patricia has the mental attitude and skill to do it well. She’s a beautiful woman inside and out and her story is well worth listening to!

Wednesday Aug 18, 2021
Wednesday Aug 18, 2021
This week’s episode brings you the 2022 Ducati Supersport 950 S. This classic L-twin cylinder machine from the Italian marque was an instant hit when it was launched in 2017. Now with some decent tweaks including bodywork that takes its cues from the Panigale V4, Nic de Sena gives us his impression of the bike.
In the second segment , our friend this week is Shelby Hopson. Shelby is now an accomplished rider able to ride at speed with great form and confidence. Teejay chats with Shelby about when she started riding, and the path she took.
We hope you enjoy this episode!

New Aprilia Tuonos + Dave Donald
Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
This week we step it up a bit in the horsepower stakes, taking a look at Aprilia’s new Tuono for 2022. Nic de Sena had a chance to ride both models around the roads of Southern California. They’re a little different from each other for 2022, and the choice to re-focus one of the Tuonos is an interesting one.
In the second segment I chat with an old friend of mine—Dave Donald. He’s been a friend of mine for… yikes… around 20 years—and he’s been riding for way longer than that. Dave has always been good for a laugh, and in this episode he doesn’t disappoint.
So settle in, check out the chats, and please send us your feedback if you feel like it. I hope you enjoy this episode!

Yamaha TW200 + Marc 'The Punisher' Rittner
Wednesday Aug 04, 2021
Wednesday Aug 04, 2021
Yamaha's mighty TW200 has been around since the '80s, yet the magic little machine still endures. What it lacks in displacement it makes up for in fun and rideability. Editor Don Williams chats about his impressions of this great bike.
In the second segment, Contributor Marc Rittner talks to us about his various bike building projects. This is a guy who knows how to create a competitive or highly rideable machine on a budget. He's fun to listen to!
